BILL PURO Large | Single Raised Bowl in Stainless Steel

The Large size of the BILL line is designed for medium-large and large dogs with a shoulder height (at the withers) of approximately 48 to 70 cm.

It is a good fit for Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Boxers, English Setters, German Shepherds, Weimaraners, female Dobermans, Weimaraner Pointers, some Rottweilers, and many medium-large mixed-breed dogs. It is the size to consider when a dog already has a substantial chest and a posture that makes a feeding station that is too low uncomfortable.

This size is not designed for cats. Here, the choice is clearly oriented toward large dogs, both in terms of usable height and the visual proportions of the object in the space.

How to measure shoulder height (withers)
Have your pet stand on a flat surface with its head and neck in a natural position. Identify the highest point of the shoulder blades, which is the part of the back where the neck begins: that is the withers. Measure the distance from the ground to that point using a rigid measuring tape or tailor’s tape.

When choosing a raised feeder, keep in mind that the bowl, once inserted into the opening, drops a few centimeters. For this reason, the usable size does not correspond to the external height of the feeder. If your pet is between two sizes, consider body build, neck length, feeding habits, and the fact that some animals prefer eating slightly lower.
